Top-Down
Changes made at a high level (for example, Product Department, Category, Sub Category, etc) will save changes back down to the levels that make up that level, based on their contributions respectively.
Bottom-Up
Any modification made at a lower level (for example, a customer or item adjustment), will affect the higher level forecast accordingly through bottom-up aggregation.

Middle-Out
Business Unit managers may commit to meeting specific targets for the next few months (either for their division, department, channel, etc), these forecasts can be locked down. This will not allow any Top-Down or Bottom-Up changes to affect this committed number.
